MGM+ Announces Big Development Slate and Programming Lineup

January 10, 2023

Following a newly announced rebranding, MGM+, formerly Epix, just unveiled both its development slate and programming lineup. Notable entries include The Emperor of Ocean Park – a new John Wells drama based on a Stephen L. Carter novel, Hoodlum – a period drama following Harlem crime boss Stephen St. Clair, and Hot Stuff – a docuseries diving into the disco era.

The premium linear channel and streaming service will launch on January 15th, coinciding with the season three premiere of Godfather of Harlem, a Chris Brancato and Paul Eckstein-created crime drama series starring and executive produced by Forest Whitaker.

Alongside new titles in development, MGM+’s programming lineup also includes previously greenlit series Hotel Cocaine and San Francisco Sounds (working title). MGM+ also renewed Billy The Kid and picked up the BBC war drama Rogue Heroes for a second season as well. To see the full list, keep reading at Deadline.
