"Call Me By Your Name" Opens To Highest PTA of 2017

Sony Pictures Classics’ acclaimed romance Call Me By Your Name garnered 2017’s highest per-theater average, at $101,219, in its opening weekend. The Luca Guadagnino film overtook the year’s previous record-holder, A24’s Lady Bird, which had seen a $93,903 per-theater average in its opening frame.
Call Me was already riding high last week on the strength of six nominations from the Independent Spirit Awards (the most for a single film this year), including Best Feature.
